You have to reach from Delhi → Shimla → Rampur → Reckong Peo → Kalpa
• By Bus:
Direct Volvo or HRTC bus comes to Shimla from Delhi. HRTC buses are available from there till Reckong Peo. Kalpa is just 6 km away from Peo.
• Self-Drive:
Self-driving is a wonderful experience. If you are thinking of going by self-drive then you should have good driving skills. You can have a dreamy experience while driving on NH-5 and enjoying the beautiful views. But if the road is zig zag and narrow then you need to drive confidently.
📅 Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Kalpa in summer is from April to June, where you can enjoy the spring blossoms and pleasant weather.
If you come in winter, the best time is from September to November, where you can enjoy the clear peace and ripe apples. But there is snowfall from December to February and the roads here also become risky.
Avoid coming during monsoon from July to August as it is a landslide prone area.

Kinner Kailash Parvat Mala is the most highlighted place of Kalpa. It is a sacred mountain which is considered holy by both Hindu and Buddhist communities. When the sun rises or sets here, the colour of the sunlight changes, sometimes golden, sometimes pinkish or orange. It looks as if it has been cut out from a postcard.

Altitude Sickness: Above 3000 meter height This causes lack of oxygen. Keep drinking water and go out in the cold on the first day.
Weather: Bring warm clothes like gloves, jackets and stylus as it is always cold here even in summers.
Network: BSNL and Jio work a little. Airtel is weak.
Cash: There is no ATM in Kalpa, due to which you may face cash problems. To avoid this, withdraw cash from Peo only.
Respect Locals: Take permission before taking photos, do not wear shoes in the temple.
